Integrated Motion Control

Integrated Motion from Rockwell Automation® is the solution that will help reduce engineering time, shorten your development cycle

reduce the need for after-sale support, and save your time, money, and effort

Integrated Motion from Rockwell Automation® is the solution that will help reduce engineering time, shorten your development cycle, reduce the need for after-sale support, and save you a substantial amount of time, money, and effort. Kinetix® Integrated Motion is a combination of architecture, world class Allen-Bradley motion products, and motion application expertise. It's ideal for applications in packaging, material handling, assembly, converting, and many others. With its broad range of high performance products, Kinetix® Integrated Motion effectively meets the most demanding motion control needs.

Digital Motion Interface

Kinetix® drives are optimized for the ControILogix®, CompactLogix™ and GuardLogix® SERCOS interface~ Digital Motion Modules. SERCOS (SErial Real-time COmmunications System) is a controller/drive interface using noise-immune, fiber optic cables. The result is state-of-the-art motion control with these important benefits:

  • Logix combines motion, sequential, process, safety and drive control into one multi-tasking control platform, helping to provide lower system costs, easier maintenance and simplified system installation.

  • A single fiber optic ring serves as the sole interface between control and drive. It replaces costly command and feedback wiring, reducing both installation time and wiring costs.

  • RSLogix 5000â„¢ software provides catalog number driven drive, motor and actuator configuration. This out-of-the-box "connect and run" implementation eliminates the need for complex drive/motor/actuator configuration and tuning.

  • With Automatic Device Replacement, drives, motors and actuators can be replaced without reconfiguration. The Logix controller automatically detects the replaced drive, motor or integrated actuator and downloads all configuration parameters.

  • High resolution, absolute feedback eliminates the need for axis homing and provides high precision positioning.

  • Comprehensive drive, motor and actuator diagnostics are available in RSLogix 5000â„¢ and the Logix application program.

  • ControlLogix® and CompactLogixâ„¢ offer motion control scalability. Whether you are using one servo drive or more than 100, there's a price and feature set for your full range of applications.

Servo Drives

Kinetix ® Servo Drives

The Kinetix 2000, Kinetix 6000, Kinetix 7000 and Ultra™ 3000 servo drives are all parts of the Kinetix Integrated Motion Solution, allowing you to match the drive to the specific needs of your application. They are seamlessly integrated into the Logix platforms and communicate to the controller through the SERCOS fiber optic link. These drives use RSLogix 5000 programming software for nplete integration of discrete and motion control, eliminating the need for multiple programming tools RSLogix 5000™ also provides powerful commissioning and diagnostic tools for simplified machine allation, operation and maintenance. As part of the Kinetix® solution, these drives offer a common user experience for configuration and setup, providing commonality throughout the drive family. As a result, you can learn once and reuse your product knowledge. In addition, Kinetix drives offers plug-and play configurability, fast integration and start-up, superior diagnostic capabilities, and reduced wiring and installation costs. All Kinetix ® drives are matched to Kinetix ® servo motors such as the MP-Series family, featuring high resolution feedback encoders for improved system performance and have built-in support for multi-turn absolute encoders to eliminate costly and time consuming machine homing cycles.

Kinetlx 2000 Low Power Multi-Axis Servo Drive-A Simplified Solution for Low Power Applications

Even applications with power requirements as low as 300 watts can reap the benefits of the Kinetix ® Integrated Motion solution.

  • As part of the Kinetix ® Integrated Motion solution, the multi-axis Kine ix 2000 is seamlessly integrated into the Logix platform and communicates to the controller through a SERCOS fiber optic link. The result is simplified machine design, commissioning, operation and diagnostics through a single integrated platform.

  • The compact size saves you money with significant space reductions that translate into greater flexibility for machine design and more productivity in the same amount of floor space.

  • Greatly simplified wiring results in fewer connections which take less time and make it easier to wire correctly the first time.

  • One simple Power Rail replaces power wiring, logic control wiring and other complex cables, making layout and installation fast and easy.

  • HAdvanced control capabilities provide greater precision and throughput, allowing you to meet demands for increased productivity.

Kinetix 6000 Multi-Axis Servo Drive-Powerful Simplicity for a Competitive Edge
  • Compact size allows convenient placement in machinery

  • Handles all global voltage requirements

  • Advanced control capabilities provide greater precision and throughput. Impressive velocity bandwidth is greater than 400 Hz, with a current loop bandwidth greater than 1300 Hz -double the performance of similar products

  • A simple modular design lowers wiring time and related costs by greatly reducing the total number of connections

  • A SERCOS interface provides seamless integration into the ControILogix®, CompactLogixâ„¢ ·, or GuardLogix® platform for multi-axis integrated motion. RSLogix· 5000â„¢ is the only software program required for both discrete and motion control

  • Easy-to-use Power Rail serves as a unique mounting and connecting system, making design and installation fast and easy

  • Features embedded safety technology

Kinetix 7000 High Power Servo Drive-Simplified High Power Applications
